Porridge with Lily Bulb

Ingredients:

30g lily bulb (Bai he)
30g wolfberry fruit (gou qi)
50g rice
10g rock sugar


Method:

  1. Rinse all ingredients (except rock sugar) and soak in water.
  2. Cook lily bulb and rice in half a pot of water.
  3. Turn down the heat and cook for 2 hours, add wolfberry and cook well.
  4. Season with rock sugar.



Tips and info:

  • Soak dry lily bulb in water before cooking to aid releasing of flavor.
  • This porridge relieves cough and promotes urination.
